Melissa Canciller

What do you call a multi-tool equivalent in the theatre world? Melissa Canciller, perhaps? Can she act? You bet. Can she sing? You better believe it. Can she dance? Folks say she's better than Travolta. New to the "arts" world, Melissa has already performed in Pintig's productions of "Alamat" and staged readings such as the recent, "Flor Contemplacion" and "Damaged Merchandise." She was also seen in Squaresville Theatre's production of "Red Carnations." Melissa wishes to thank everyone who has ever "believed" in her.

Andrew Lee

Andrew Lee is thrilled to be joining the free-spirited cast of Stir-Friday Night! Recently, this Chicago native was seen performing in Tea-Company's inaugural production of 'Boys!', and even more recently, the back of Andrew's large head was featured for a full 2 SECONDS on Episode #14 of ER. When not performing or sleeping, Andrew likes to drink beer and watch professional wrestling. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support.

Jennifer Liu

Jennifer Liu is a nine-year veteran, and has come to the scary realization that she’s been with Stir-Friday Night! for 1/3 of her life! Yowza! Jen loves her new castmates though, who always keep it fresh and exhilarating. When not performing with her lovable cast, Jennifer freelances as an actor and theater instructor. Jennifer got her theater training from Columbia College, The Second City Training Center, and the Audition Studio. She performs regularly with Kidworks Touring Theater Co. and the Improv Playhouse, teaches for the Second City Training Center, and can be seen in the upcoming films, “Oceans Twelve” and “Dee Dee Rutherford”.

Ron Mok

Ron is an original cast member of Stir-Friday Night! and is proud of its growth and opportunities created for Asian American artists. He enjoys writing, performing, and loves to make people laugh! MC credits includes the Asian American Idol, Los Angeles Jamfest, Miss Chicago Chinatown Pageants, Asia Skiers Convention, and NAAAP National Conventions. Stage and film credits include “Boys”, “Audacity of Man”, “Super Kamada”, “Home Alone 3”, “Sayonara Miss Saigon”, “Jade Monkey King”. One of Ron’s achievements includes winning the Men’s Hot legs contest at Montgomery Ward Corporate Headquarters, which is probably why they went out of business!

Harrison Pak

Born on an island in Korea that is famous for its smart dogs, the Chindo dog, Harrison Pak hopes that he may one day make the region famous for being his birthplace rather than known for its canines. But even he recognizes that a dog who can find his way home after a long night probably deserves the recognition. Harrison would like to stick a finger in the eye of all who doubt him.

Ranjit Souri

Ranjit Souri has co-written and performed in numerous sketch comedy shows and musicals with Stir-Friday Night!, Cupid Players, and Paper Monkeys. He has a B.S. in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Columbia University. Ranjit has worked as an accountant, stand-up comic, musician, pre-school teacher, and social services caseworker. He currently serves as the General Manager of The Second City Training Center, and is also a frequent contributor to India Currents magazine.

Michael Stevenson (Technical Director)

Since 1995, Michael “Misha” Stevenson has either performed, built, designed, lit, rigged, electrified, or engineered sound for over 100 productions throughout Chicago, Los Angeles, and Moscow, Russia. He has worked with dozens of theatre groups: The Goodman, Looking-glass, Black Ensemble, The Piven Theater, and Theatre of Moscow, Southwest, to name a few. After many years with SFN!, he feels (for some insane reason) fortunate to be the group’s lone technician (set/ lighting/ sound designer/ builder/ engineer/ operator) and stage manager.

Sun Hong

After failing to qualify for the U.S. Men's Olympic luge in Torino, Sun Hong shifted gears and brought his rugged good looks and chiseled abs to the cast of Stir Friday Night!. His new goal is to tear down the stereotypes of Asian Americans in order to make new ones. He wants to thank all of his family and friends for support. Thanks and see you at the show!

Sayjal Joshi

Sayjal hails from the beautiful state of North Carolina where she earned a BA in Theater from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2001 she helped found and performed for three years with Greensboro's first and only improv club, The Idiot Box. Since moving to Chicago Sayjal has trained with ComedySportz, i.O. (formally the ImprovOlympic), and The Second City. She can also currently be seen performing with ComedySportz, DSI's THE BEATBOX, The Playground Theater member team International Stinger, and occasionally on t.v. with her face buried in a ice cream sundae for Sonic Drive-In. Other theater credits include Sally Miller in Sing Hallelujah, Dorine in Tartuffe, and as one of the Wicked Stepsisters in Into The Woods. Mom and Dad, thank you for not making me be a veterinarian....I love you.

Steve Yuen

Steven is brand new to the city of Chicago and to the cast of Stir Friday Night. As a recent graduate of Kalamazoo College he has set his sights on pursuing a career in what he loves, acting. He has worked with various improv troupes in the past and was once a member of Kalamazoo College's premiere improv troupe, Monkapult. He would like to thank his family and all of his friends for their support in his endeavors.
