Daisy Castro

Daisy Castro has worked with SFN! for four and a half years. She's been involved in the Chicago theatre scene since 1991 either onstage, or behind as a costumer, hair/ make-up artist, props person and/or scenic painter. With her background in dance and music, she broke into what was known back then as underground performance art, now called experimental theatre. After attending some improvisation/scene classes, she became interested in the concept of "playing." The curiosity for "acting" grew and the need to explore this abstract thing was insatiable.  SFN! found a spot to fit her in. It's been an interesting journey into comedy, thus far.

Kirsten Chan

After years of pondering her life’s purpose, Kirsten Chan figured it was about damn time she joined Stir-Friday Night! Trained at The Second City in both improvisation and acting, Kirsten made her theatrical debut starring in Tea Company’s 2003 inaugural production of “Boys!” She has also dabbled in movie extra and print work. While not performing, Kirsten stays busy working for a trendy li’l greeting card company and serving as co-founder of Project: VISION, a non-profit youth center in the Bridgeport/Chinatown area of Chicago. In her spare time, she loves watching TV, and is notorious for her penchant for rockstars.

Wayne Eji

Wayne Eji is one of the original members of  “Stir-Friday Night!” from it’s humble beginnings on a make-shift stage in a little café on George Street. Besides performing with SFN! , he has also appeared in Always Together (French Theatre of Chicago), The Pineapple Story (New Turners Theatre), Asians In America II and III (North Avenue Production) and the Jade Monkey King (Angel Island Theatre Company). He loves how it provides a needed balance (ying/yang, right brain/left brain) to his life. He thanks God, his family and friends for their encouragement and support.

Maria Faelnar

When Maria was a child, she was told she was a princess in her parents' homeland. Still unable to believe it isn't true, she practices "princessing" in her bedroom, preparing for the time when she can go back in glory to the homeland. Until then, she thoroughly enjoys being a part of Stir-Friday Night! where no one treats her like royalty and ensemble is key. Maria has performed in and around the Chicago area. Favorite roles include Leann in A Piece of My Heart, Agnes in The Apollo of Bellac, and Carol Ann Lassiter in The Harvesting. She gives thanks to her family and her supportive friends.

Choky Lim

Choky Lim's career as an actor skyrocketed after a female classmate in his high school acting class remarked, "He's not as sucky as Olivier." Last year he starred in the films "Saranghae", [First Prize; Best Film, Black Cinema Society Film Festival], and "Super Kamada", [Honorable Mention; Best Short Film, Ann Arbor Film Festival]. He is also the latest correspondent on the Emmy Award-winning "Wild Chicago." Choky wishes to thank God and Buddha and Allah and Zeus and Odin and the name of the guy who is the sun god.

Rasika Mathur

Rasika has been gung ho about comedy since she went through her Chevy Chase movie rental phase in the late 80's.  She unearthed a raw talent for stand-up while attending the University of Texas at Austin.  She has wowed Indian crowds in Texas, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New Orleans, L.A., and University of Rochester.  Currently she is studying improvisation with the Second City Conservatory.  Her Pays-The-Bills-Job-Title is advertising copywriter.

Foo Nguyen

Hailing from the streets of Cincinnati, Foo Nguyen felt the calling of something greater and moved to Chicago pursuing comedy greatness a la Jerry Springer. Much like Springer, Foo mixes frivolity and chaos to create his unique brand of humor, just without all the swearing and violence. Foo is thrilled to be performing with SFN! Foo wishes to thank his family and friends for their undying support.

Dani Pudi

Dani Pudi is an ensemble member of Stir-Friday Night! where he enjoys milking his Indian / Polish heritage. He is also a member of SAG and is often mistaken for Antonio Banderas. In his spare time, Dani cheers for the Chicago White Sox and Marquette Warriors, and he enjoys singing church songs with his beautiful wife. Akalaka!

Aimee Shyn

Aimee Shyn enjoys long walks on the beach, reading the Sunday comics and singing show tunes in her spare time. And, oh yeah, she acts a little. Aimee has been involved in projects such as Tea-Company's inaugural production of Sue Pak's "Boys!", the DueEast production of Diane Son's "R.A.W" and is excited to become a part of SFN! Aimee wishes to thank her friends and family along with all the rice and kimchi manufacturers for their support.

Mary Sohn

Upon receiving a theatre degree from U.I.C., Mary Sohn had no job, so she completed the Conservatory program at Second City and now is busy competing
in Miss Korea pageants. Mary is so excited and humbled to be working and learning with Stir-Friday Night! She also loves working with groups such as
Kidworks Theatre Co., the Sirens, and her buddies, the Crying Diamonds. Mary is so thankful for all the supportive people in her life.

Joe Yau

Joe Yau has been part of Stir-Friday Night! from the beginning.  He's acted, written, and recently directed his first revue with the group. He's proud of the growth of SFN! and hopes it continues. Joe has also appeared on CBS "Early Edition" opposite George Takei, done various commercials, industrial training films, and a couple of indie film projects.  He also teaches improv at The Second City Training Center.
